There are a lot of what you say I can see myself. 4,6,9,14. Four was especially true. I worked for a company for almost 15 years and was told from the start that my pay was based on my performance. I was moved to different positions because of what I could do and the fact that when I left a department it was running better than when I got there. I also made a trip to Kansas City for a month to help teach so people the process that the company was wanting them to use. I was making decent money, but I was older, and kids were out of the house, and I learned about three years after I retired that I was one of the lowest paid people in the office. Other employees would go in and talk to VP about a raise and a lot of the times they would get it. I wasn't even given a cake when I left.
