In this world, people often think only of themselves. Life can be hard, filled with suffering and challenges. Sometimes, when we try to gain the power to make a difference, it can lead to hate. But having some money can make life easier. However, everything in life is temporary, nothing lasts forever.
People are Selfish. All people in the world are selfish. Don’t expect any selflessness from anyone in life including those who claim to love you. Always return the favor to maintain relationships in the long term.
Life is Suffering. Buddha rightly termed life as suffering. We all have to suffer an illness, humiliation, defeat, and finally life or death. The best way to live life is to be ready for the suffering and face it as it comes.
Power Means Hatred. We often seek power to change the world. It is important to know that power always creates hatred. If you are powerful, you have to suffer hatred; whether you use it or not.
Wealth is Important. The most solid thing to bank upon in life is wealth. Don’t consider wealth as evil as without wealth, a man can never live an honorable life. While wealth is not God, it is only next to God in this world.
All Things are Ephemeral. It is a fact that there is nothing in this world that can be banked upon. Everything that looks stable and solid today is going to change and eventually vanish from this world. It is futile to develop attachments for anyone or anything.
Nothing Can Change The Past. What happened to you, the things you did, and the things you didn’t do are all set in stone. These things happened already and you cannot change them ever again. It’s done.
You Will Die. Sooner or later, your life will be over. You will not live forever and neither will those around you. And yes, that does mean you can wait too long and miss the opportunity to live.
Everything Is On You. Where you are is YOUR responsibility. You chose to do what you did and you chose not to do anything else. You could have done so many things differently yet you didn’t. Everything you have in your life is due to you and there is no use in brushing off that responsibility.
One Is Coming To Save You. Everyone has their own life to live and people will not bother to figure out what’s wrong with you, especially if you never talk to them.
There Is No ‘Magic Pill’. There is no ‘Easy button’, no ‘One-fix-fix-all’ solution, and nothing that will turn everything around in an instant. You have to put in the work one step at a time to change. It will take time. It will be hard.
