A man became so depressed that he decided to kill himself by jumping off an electric pole. He climbed high up to the very top of the pole and began threatening to jump to his death. He screamed at the top of his voice,

"Goodbye everyone, I'm leaving this world forever! I can't do this anymore! The pain is too much to bear and I can't see it ever ending! I'm helpless and hopeless! Lies, rejection, failure, suppression, and illness have taken over my life! I want to die now! I will end it all now!"

The crowd immediately gathered around, begging and persuading the distressed man not to jump off the pole. Emergency workers pleaded with him to climb down to safety. The neighbors watched as the drama unfolded.

The man turned a deaf ear to everyone's pleas and he was determined to jump down. Just then, a man screamed up at him,
"Don't jump, please! Listen, if you need money, I can give it to you! Any amount you want! Whatever you're going through in life, killing yourself isn't the solution! I'll give you money!"

Suddenly, the distressed man stopped for a moment. And then, to everyone's amazement, he slowly began to climb back down. They were all happy that he finally changed his mind.

As soon as the man reached the ground, the man who had promised him money rushed to him and said,
"Tell me how much money you want... I can give it to you."

However, the man shook his head and muttered,
"I'm sorry, but I don't need your money. Thanks anyway."

As he turned to leave, someone patted him and whispered,
"It's because of the money that you climbed down, isn't it? Why did you reject it now?"

The man paused for a moment, then shook his head again and said,
"I didn't come down for the money. I came down because I realized I am the strongest person I know. Do you know what strong don't do? They don't give up! I have survived a lot and I can survive whatever is coming. I looked back at how far I have come already, all the battles I have won, and all the fears I have overcome... I see no reason to give up now. As long as I am able to get through all the bad days I've had, I will make it through whatever life throws at me. And I'm sure that the best days of life are yet to come."

Life can get so difficult and can crush our every attempt to succeed or improve. Sometimes, we want to give up because we have fought so long and so hard only for everything to come back crashing down on us and we can't take it anymore. However, it is important to know that the strongest people are those who fight and win battles, not those who give up. You are strong, so strong that you've survived a lot up until this point. You will make it through whatever life throws at you. Keep pushing and don't give up! Better days are yet to come.
