The Foolish Old Frog: A Short Moral Story
Never Underestimate Others: The Surprising Power of Luck and Kindness
Once upon a time, there was an old frog known as the Foolish Old Frog. He was not the brightest creature in the pond and often found himself struggling with simple tasks. His silly antics made everyone laugh at him, and they considered him a fool.
Despite his lack of intelligence, the old frog had a kind heart. He loved helping others, even if he didn’t always understand their problems. His generosity and compassion shone through.
One day, the king decided to host a quiz competition featuring the five smartest animals in the kingdom. He gathered everyone and asked them to choose the contestants. First, they selected the Wise Dolphin, then the Smart Chimpanzee, followed by the Intelligent Wolf and the Brilliant Squirrel.
Some animals, wanting to poke fun at the old frog, chose him as the fifth contestant. They laughed and said, “He’s such a fool! He’ll never answer a question correctly! He’ll be humiliated!”
When the contestants were ready, the king promised a life-changing prize to the winner. He then asked the first question: “Which mammal is known to have the most powerful bite in the world?”
All five animals became confused. They thought and thought but couldn’t come up with an answer. Just then, the old frog shouted, “Hippopotamus!”
The king’s eyes lit up. “Correct! You won the quiz!”
Everyone was shocked, realizing they had underestimated the old frog. They felt ashamed and asked for his forgiveness.
Later, one animal approached the old frog and asked, “How did you know the answer?”
The old frog replied, “I didn’t know the answer. It was pure luck! I saw the hippopotamus eating my cake, so I shouted his name to get him to stop!”
Moral Lesson: Don’t mock or underestimate anyone. You never know how luck and chance can change a person’s life!
