One day, a woman heard a knock at her door. When she opened the door, she found a man standing in front of her. She asked him,
"Who are you?"
The man responded,
"My name is Past, and I am related to you. I consist of all the things that you have done and that have happened to you before now."
The woman asked,
"So, how may I help you?"
The man responded,
"I want us to talk to each other. I've got something to tell you."
The woman scoffed and slammed the door in the man's face, screaming loudly,
"Leave and don't you ever come back here again!"
A little while later, a neighbour who had witnessed the whole thing, came to the woman and asked,
"Why did you shut the door on that man?"
She responded,
"He is my past. If I let him in, he will destroy my future."
When the past comes knocking, don't answer. It has nothing new to tell you. If you don't leave your past in the past, it will destroy your future. Live for what today has to offer, not what yesterday has taken away.
I let my stories teach life lessons so please I need your support keep supporting me.

I don’t know about this friend I understand that many of us, myself included for sure have made mistakes in the past but I honestly think until we make our peace with our past, in other words repent if what we know we have willfully done wrong to harm others in our own mad rush to fulfill our base desires and lusts or simply selfish whims, the past will keeping knock knock knocking on the door of our heart. And most likely we will repeat again and again the same mistakes. Surely if we have done what we can as far as we are able to repair and reconcile and confess we don’t need to feel shame and guilt or crippling despair that is true definitely. But if we can acknowledge that our past has brought to where we are now!!
This is absolute bollocks. The future grows out of the past. A future without a past is rootless and shallow. Even when we're newborn we have our parents' pasts to digest. Our future should be consistent with our past or we have no integrity. If we've done wrong in the past we have to make amends. If we've done right we have something to celebrate and a tradition to continue. And if wrong has been done to us then we have something to put right and forgive.
